Gamedibs: Wet Review

"Style-over-substance" is a phrase being thrown around quite a bit when talking about Artificial Mind and Movement's new third-person action game, WET. It's not a wholly inaccurate statement, given the game's grindhouse aesthetic, as well as its copious abuse of the bullet-time mechanic made famous by our favorite grim-faced cop Max Payne. It's hard to talk about WET without talking about Max Payne, Devil May Cry, Stranglehold, or a half-dozen other action shooters for that matter, simply because it borrows so heavily from it's predecessors in the genre.
