Playing Demon's Souls is like dating someone you know isn't good for you – you often feel like crap while spending time with them and they do nothing but frustrate you. Of course, then something will happen, a spark will be lit, and the next thing you know you're deeply in love…till they start treating you poorly soon after yet again. Demon's Souls is a lot like that – a lot of frustrations that are ultimately punctuated by moments of extreme unadulterated love. It's a rocky relationship, but one that can end well if persistent and patient enough. 3.5/5
The person who reviewed this is a bit of an idiot. In the review, he talks about trying out all the classes and the variances in each. Aside from the Royal - who has regenerating magic ring - they all play the same as you progress in the game. Character development is directly tied to whatever path you choose. You can make whatever "class" you like, the starting templates are just groundwork and have no real bearing past the first few hours.
The challenge can definitely turn some people off, this point stands well as an argument. But the rest of the review sounds poorly written by someone who set out to hate the game or is simply frustrated that he isn't very good at playing it.
he could find a girlfriend?
This game looks good although diffucult. It would be unfair to say this game is great and the reviewer sucks because it's his opinion... and to be honest he is entitled to it.

and now this "hack" review be someone who writes like a complete amateur. i think the difficulty of DS is part of the attraction of the game.(just like with the NG series)
both the ratchet preview and this review illustrate why it's a good idea not to listen to site reviews/previews when deciding which games to buy.
