I think Agent will be incredible. When GTA4 came out, it was pretty clear that DVD9 held the game back. I mean, San Andreas (a PS2/Xbox game) had twice the amount of content that GTA4 did.

In short..you can miss out on great gaming experiences with shoulda/woulda; I know media says you have to compare experiences....but, you don't have to follow them.
@wxer GTA4 made its biggest mistakes with the additional content that they put into the game.
Side missions such as hanging out with friends and the whole phone setup made the game become annoying. The city feel was too similar and made driving around less fun. (not to mention the lack of hidden packages) The soundtrack sucked. (GTA has been known for having a stellar soundtrack in the past). Multiplayer sucked.
So I hope Agent does better with the additional space instead of just adding in annoying factors that can take away from a good game such as how GTA4 did.
edit @N4G king, at this point it is hard to bash or support this game because it severely lacks detail. (I'm a non-xbox PS3 owner that doesn't automatically mean I have to like Agent)
Sitdown, maybe you should take some of your own advice And stop defending GTA4 for the disappointment it was. The fact that is was called GTA'4' gave people hope it was going to be something special, seeing as how Rockstar doesn't hand out the sequel moniker easily, however upon release it became quite clear it was a nuetered version of San Andreas.
As far as Agent goes, I think its pretty obvious this will be Sony's big fall release next year. Personally, I'm excited, because I've seen what happens when Sony spends this much time on a game - they make games like Demon Soul's, which is easily one of the best RPG's coming out this year.

Can't see anything without seeing something. Yes, the developers are great but I just won't give in to this hype until I see something. So it's a wait and see game for now :)

I loved the soundtrack...I'm a musician, so I really dug the radio content on all the genres. The music was great and really fit the tone of the game, so I don't get where the radio hate is coming from. *shrug*

The city is freakin ALIVE. It feels like you could really live there....I only wish more buildings were more accessible.
There were some annoyances, like people bugging me on the cellphone, but it helped make the game real, even if annoyed by it.
Give me tons of disagrees if you guys want, but as a first time GTA'er, GTA4 was freakin tight. The most fun I've had in a single player game...ever.

This is merely an article where the devs say they believe they have something really special on their hands, which they never came out and made a statement like that for GTA4.
Sure its light on the details, but it suggests that this game is the killer app GTA4 should have been, and since its exclusive, of course there is going to be controversy.
Even if this game does meet the hype, some people will refuse to be convinced until it becomes the general consensus, that is because they are spineless.

My gripe with GTAIV is that the story was pretty much the same as every other GTA. The stranger makes a friend, do some missions, friend betrays the stranger, stranger wants revenge.
It seems the same for all GTA's it feels a bit repetitive.
My other gripe was that GTAIV was all city and no rural area like San Andreas (which was an amazing game).

GTA 4 is a 9-9.5 game.
And I'm very critical about games (movies and music too).
The production value of the game, the graphics, the humor (some of it was droll), the music...it really was all top notch...not perfect, but very well done. And then, on top of the single player, they have a very fun multiplayer with several different types of games.
so far the ps3 always deliver when it come to exclusive except for one: HAZE. Don't bring lair because it's actually a great game when the patch came out, too bad the patch was overlooked by the mass.
What I would love to see. Is Rockstar North take full advantage of the Cell standard HDD and the space on a Blu-Ray disc Duel Layer, yeah the 50 gig one. Then make a game that changes the face of gaming like the GTA series did.
If this is going to be open world they need to make it globe spanning, or nation wide or even a few states if done to scale. Go ahead Rockstar make a 100 gig game if you need to. I swear I wont be mad about it.

Sorry, State of Emergency was a terrible game. I think I finished it in an hour! Every game that was suppose to be the next GTA, came up short. Streets of L.A. was touted the same and was also a terrible game.
This just in a Rockstar state a game they are working on is "spectacular" now there is a shell shocking thing. I mean what do you expect Rockstar to say ? "oh yeah Agent is shaping up to be crap".
People still believe the 360 is as powerful as the PS3. I remember an article on this very site that stated the PS3 was more powerful sometime last year, was all techy and stuff. I guess they just ignore and move on.
It's a no-brainer really, give a dev a blu-ray disc and they can go to town and put as much as they want into a game. Give a dev a DVD9 and they'll hit that wall where they have to compress everything to make it fit. If the game is multiplatform who loses out? The PS3, because you could have put a whole lot more content in the game.
It's no surprise to me that PS3 exclusives tend to be better these days when you consider the unharnessed power these devs have to work with. Naughty Dog have an amazing sequel with Uncharted 2, something that cannot be done on 360. I'm looking forward to hearing more about this game. Rockstar have 2 PS3 exclusives on the go atm, AGENT and LA Noire.
i just wanna see what Rockstar can do with the power of the blu ray... Frankly speaking, all real gamers should be excited about Agent, this could just be the next big step forward for the sandbox genre.
I've always believed that the advantages of blu ray would be best utilized by RPGs and sandbox games.
There are 2 exclusives... Yes there's AGENT but there's also LA Noire that Rockstar (not sure which studio) is working on based around the mob scene.

I can't wait Rockstar North projects consist of GTA 's 3, VC, SA, 4 and Manhunt 1&2. Thats about it. Everything else like bully and max payne are handled by other rockstar studios. My point being is that you should all be expecting something awesome, fresh and memorable judging by who is developing it. This could easily turn out to be an amazing/landmark franchise.
I personally didn't like the Manhunt seris, I found The Suffering series better since the two were essentially competing products given the release windows, theme, etc.
EA: Dante's Inferno will be just a crappy ripoff of God of War; Please don't waste your money. If you have a PS3, just get GoW3; If you don't have a PS3, just get a PS3... and then get GoW3

I did not miss out on GTA IV.
I beat GTA Vice City, San Andreas, and IV.
GTA IV was a downgrade to Vice City's level of content, maybe even less.
Vice City and San Andreas had much more enjoyable and memorable missions.

That's the problem. I was promised an amazing, next-gen GTA experience.
I ended bowling, hanging out with my in-game friends, and shooting 200 pigeons.
