Forza Motorsport 3 will include 29 models from Ferrari, developer Turn 10 has confirmed. Here are the screens.
Was that a Ferrarigasm?
Yes....im still recovering .
FREEZE! step away from the exhaust pipe ... and keep your hands where i can see them perv
* hands him a "drool bag" * I KNOW....i know...
Fap fap fap.
Is that white patch above the rear wheel of this Ferrari supposed to be lighting? http://medialib.computerand... Whatever short-cuts they've used for their lighting system it results in some truly bizarre artifacts. The lack of proper specular lighting continues to surprise and disappoint.
icon of unique beauty, power, speed and deep pockets
@MNicholas: I have a feeling that you mistook lightning with reflections.
The car models in Forza 3 look fantastic but all of the locations I've seen look barren and bland. @ Jolly1 I don't think you understand what I meant. The environments look static. There's no depth. It's like being on the set of a photo shoot; the scenery doesn't seem real, it's 2D.
That is what race track look like. 2d? http://www.computerandvideo... http://www.computerandvideo... .....boring and bland?
The scenery isn't always brilliant but it's not the focus to be honest. GT5:Prologue's scenery was absolutely terrible as I remember, some nice backdrops but anything in the mid-distance was just cardboard cutouts. And yeah, I see what MNicholas is saying about the lighting in that pic, not because they don't have specular lighting though, in fact what you are seeing is the specular lighting but it's just not that great. The game's looking pretty amazing though regardless.
meagre attempt at specular lighting. The lack of proper specular lighting is one of the great failings in Forza 3's visuals. The polygon models are fantastic but the lighting is simply atrocious. Shaders visibly lack sophistication. Given the large number of artifacts and inconsistenct of the lighting it really seems like they are using some kind of post-processing hack rather than traditional pixel shaders. Perhaps good enough for the average user, however, and that's what counts.
head to the neogaf thread and take another looks at the maps. The new test track and the fantasy maps are all stunning, where as the real maps continue to be as close to the bland real-life as ever.
How can i be the only one commenting ?
your not, I'm just running late today. Ahhh...oohh. oh. oh. eaaaahhhhh. ^o^
Ahh great... These pics are amazing .
They are... but i wish they had one of the F50 GT.
I always thought Ferrari didnt like their cars being damaged, i wonder how Turn 10 gets away with it. The detail is so crazy though, still cant believe the managed to make such a huge graphical improvement in such a short amount of time
Yeah i can only imagine if they had more time to make this game.... But it isnt needed . Turn 10 has done a fine job .
Graphics are like "Pixel Perfection" with the Gameplay that possesses the "Soul of a Sim". Turn 10 is just showing off, but I like it. JOY
They get damaged in Ferrari Challenge Edit - lol @ Disagree, i've stated a fact. @JOLLY1 - It is, while i wouldn't rate it as high as GT or Forza, its a very very solid simulator and one you won't be disappointed in.
The only complaint is that it is only Ferrari's. Which really isn't a bad thing.
All we need now is a 'pothole' level to test one's true driving skills. Goal? Complete the course in record time without damaging the Ferrari at all. Could just use streets of DC as a map setting.
You're thinking of what fanboys claim about Gran Turismo. Comes from some of the lame "dog ate my homework" excuses that Polyphony Digital have come up with to expain the absence of damage in their games. It's absolute crap, to be honest. They're advertising the cars in their game effectively, and they could simply threaten to not include them, or include them without damage and make them unavailable for damage-enabled races. (Meaning people wouldn't use them). So I'm sure they're happy to let the cars be damaged in games.
ferrari challenge feels a little bit better than a ps2 game, which there is one... i don't know, i bought it for 10$ on that best buy sale. wait for forza/GT5
was pretty ok... In fact, i'm still playing it once in a while.... but, it gets boring rather quickly, as it only has , well, Ferraris... obviously. I like to try out more cars .... That's why i loved GT series... it lets me drive a lot of different types of cars... Forza will be able to deliver that as well.
I just want the F50 GT, i fell in love with that car from PGR3. I didn't like it as much in forza2 cos i actually thought it didn't look as good IMO, but i can just imagine how awesome it's going to look with some customer paint jobs and 100 x the poly count.
It is confirmed. Head over to forzacentral forums.
LEts see how many Porsche!! This Game is badass! GT5 68% ? LOL
your retarded gt psp?
Forza 3 is undoubtedly shaping up to the be definitive racer of this generation, I can not wait to see all the critical claim and awards this title will receive, GT5 seems so old hat and doesn't stand a chance with its outdated physics engine and inferior handling.
