I feel the need--the need for speed!
Hmmm. It's a fun game as long as you are at the tier 1 cars. They don't slide as much. hen I got to tier 2 I decided to go with the Porsche Cayman S, since Porsche cars are known for their superior traction. Even with all of the handling upgrades in place the car is basically uncontrollable. The slightest maneuver makes the car slide all over the place. Even the all wheel drive cars like Audi TT etc behave like they were driving on oil. I know that it's supposed to be arcadey, and I have no problem with that. But the game lost all of it's appeal for me when I got to tier 2. I've been playing Dirt 2 as well and that game is ten times better than this overhyped excuse for a game.
Getting this game today! It just pisses me off how there is a bunch of haters afraid that NFS is now competition for Gran Turismo and Forza. -_-
It's pretty much blasphemy for the XBoxers and Playstationers to admit that there is great multi-plat racing Sim on the market. Exclusives are the best...really! I played Forza 2, wasn't impressed. Played GT 4, also not impressed. Gonna try this and see how it rolls. BTW I know I'm going to lose plenty of bubbles to the fanboys for this one =)
Review seemed good, been thinking of purchasing this one for awhile, was not impressed by Dirt 2, more of the same as the Dirt 1 (Dirt 1 was a great game), will pick this up while I wait for GT5. Just bought meself the official GT wheel so this aswell as GT5p will set me up ready for GT5.
