Before all the haters out there start screaming motion control or Blu-Ray, just hear me out. First, just so all are aware, XNA is the standardized development platform for both the Xbox 360 & the PC. Basically, it removes a lot of the flatware involved in game development & frees up the developers to focus on actually developing their game. The beauty part of it is the tools are scalable, allowing them to be utilized by both seasoned & indie developers alike. This generation, Microsoft broke out the tools for the indie developers to create games under the Xbox Live Indie Games label, making their final products available to Xbox 360 gamers for a tiny price. These games can be created very cheaply. I've spoke to some indie guys who created their games for as little as $5,000 & others who have $60,000 or more sunk into their projects..."
