Downright Gamers Review: BlazBlue

Downright Gamers writes: "That's one hell of an intro to a fight and Guilty Gears has never done anything half assed in their long line of fighters. So what happens when those same creators decide to start something new with no real tie to the Guilty Gears story or characters? You get BlazBlue, a game that gives titles like Street Fighter a run for their money with both arms tied behind its back and a blindfold, while sleeping with your mom, on Thursdays.

Here's the low down on the story it's set in the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi, a mystical world where humans have achieved new forms of technology by infusing it with magic called Armagus. Ragna the semi main character controls an Armagus called "Azure Grimoire" or as it's more commonly known as BlazBlue (see what they did there?!) He kicks a lot of ass, blows some stuff up that people don't want blown up and gets himself a fat bounty on his head by the Novus Orbis Librarium or the NOL for short..." (BlazBlue, PS3, Xbox 360) 8.5/10
