The Balance of Power, EA and Activision have it all.

Story Excerpt:

"The history of publishers/developers versus the console manufacturers has been one of cooperation and obstruction. It has been a give and take, between how much freedom the consoles will allow and the manufacturers protecting their merchandise. That is not to say it is not without good reason. But with the current generation, I believe the balance of power now strictly lies with the publishers." (Culture)

EA have stepped up their game in the last couple years. Most people used to despise them for buying smaller companies and rushing products. Now, many of us have turned our hatred towards Activision for jacking prices of MW2 in Europe and the PC version in North America. Not to mention an ass of a CEO, Bobby Kotick. Mr. "I would charge $200 per game if it were up to me".

You are mostly correct. I would be willing to bet that a few PS3 owners are now upset at EA over the whole no cross game chat rumor.
