New Army Of Two Screenshots released today.
why does it look so different ? It look like it has been downgraded a whole LOT.
These screens lack the polish of any of the previous ones, lets hope they put the polish back on before release :)
I advise devs not to release any screen shot of a good game until its some what decent, this looks like paper graphics on steroids or something.
They should just never release anyting except for the completed game as much as people get so excited over every little thing. Does this game even have a release date? I mean its not like its coming out next month and hopefully they concentrate on gameplay and other things before worrying about polishing graphics.
Previous screenshots look similar...except those taken from trailers (crazy AA going on)
The PS3 is holding the graphics back. I see a trend with multi-platform games that are both on the PS3 and the 360. The textures suck and make the graphics look hrrible. Exclusive XBox 360 games blow any PS3 game out of the water. Mass Effect, Gears of War, Lost Planet native 1080p anyone?
I mean, I'm a 360 guy myself, but seriously? That comment is blatantly false. Everybody's always itchin' to start a console war around here... EDIT: By the way - I agree - this game used to look a whole lot better. Wonder what happened.
Stoned indeed.. Xbots are so predictable
what happened to this game overtime? use to look good, apparently not after haven seen these low quality screens.
PEOPLE EA ARE MAKING THIS..YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS
Theft on the marketplace?
Haha NICE! Bubbles for you for a fantasticly spiteful comment! :)
its because of the xbox360 that PS3 multi games get the shaft...dev should learn how to use the cell and make it for the PS3 then port 2 the lower console xbox360..unless these dev take the extra time to really tweak ported games then we are gonna be getting a bad experience on ported games. oblivion is a good example of alittle time could go along way - i was excited for this title but once i found out it was a port - i dont think ill be grabbing it
Less and less devs are writing cell code so its unlikely youll see the full power anytime soon if ever.
PS3 is lead platform for this game so... umm... yeah.
http://www.gamespot.com/fea... http://kotaku.com/gaming/xb... now thats a hell of alot of ports that look like sh!t on the PS3. This is truth This is the 360s foot <---- This is the PS3s A$$ <---- Now this is the 360s foot going into ----> the PS3s a$$ I bet the devs are tired of trying to develop on such a sh!ty console. 256mb what does it take 2 hours to load up a level?
Ok Ibleedblu follow these directions...since I can't do this for myself. Step:1 Stare at your screen. Step:2 Take your arm and smack yourself in the head as hard as you can. Repeat step:2 until you snap back to reality
For f**k sake Gundam looks better now.
Geez guys their not THAT bad their not amazing but this is still a long way out. Give the game a break, this is like everyone hating on the beta for Halo 3. What's next your going to start judging concept art for not being well enough drawn? I know it's EA and all but still just WAIT before passing judgement. These were only released to show where they currently are, not where they will be. The only game I have ever seen that was beautiful throughtout development was Gears Of War. But if you have any sort of brain Epic created that game backwards. The graphics were first to show UE3 abilities, they than later concentrated on gameplay. They had many many events trying to get feedback on the gameplay late in development. ALL games will look ugly at some point, they have to start somewhere. It's like none of you appreciate the creative genius and the processes they have to go through to create these games. If you could do better, well than do it yourself, until than just settle with the fact that they can't just make pretty ames appear with a snap of a finger. Their is work involved to get these fantastic graphics your seeing these days, we're spoiled, yet you still whine for more.
bank robbing that took place in Los Angeles a few years back. You know, the one with the two guys in body armor and fully automatic AK-47 assault rifles. Yeah that one. Doesn't look to bad??? Should be hella fun.
this game is still in process so just wait and give it time.......
Oh my! PS3 textures?!, dam multi platform games. They chalanged GeOW with this game i guess they needed to build this game from the ground up for the 360 for their past comments to valididate thier stance and comments, develping PS3 in mind was the worse thing they could have done making such claims about GOW!. Dam maybe this is what RockStar meant when they supposedly commented on Space/DVD/360 a while back but also saying both consile were giving them headaches, they supposedly said 360's space was causing problems i wonder if PS3's graphical capabilities are limiting their graphical vision of GTA5 on the PS3 side of the problems.
anyway, it`s only a multiplatofrm game, people really care about exclusive games, which use the potential of console hardware. Atleast some people now can`t say that this _exclusive_ ps3 game sux. Because it`s now a _multiplatform_, and we all know, that multiplatform games doesn`t use the whole potential. =) @power of Green - ----------------------------- ------------------------------ - ------------------------------ - ------------------------------ - Taken from beyond3d: In Lost Planet, each character is 10-20K polys. A VS robot is 30-40K polys. A background is about 500K. With shadows and other hidden rendering cost, it's about -=3 million=- polys per frame. Different platforms require different care, would not be surprised if ppl working on 360 and suddenly dropping their datasets onto RSX would not observe good numbers (and viceversa) Now..I can't see how RSX, if used in the right way, should be so limited at vertex processing: in HS we easily render 2-2.5 MTriangles per frame at 30 fps without being VS limited and without making any use of CELL to speed up vertex shading and I know for sure that being more clever we could even go faster.. -=(just using the GPU)=- The numbers quoted about HS are slighty wrong..cause a few days a go I realized there's a bug in the code that computes the triangle count: in some cases it's more close to -=3M triangles=- per frame mark than 2M. Regarding cpu, yes its totally different arguments. The 360's is a very standard setup, a bunch of cores that can all see main memory. The advantage to this is that lots of thread coded written over the years can be ported to it easily. For example, Valve (the Half Life guys) are writing an entirely threaded engine for the PC. When it's done, porting it to the 360 will be easy. How about porting it to the PS3? Nope, won't work, it's a totally different setup. The PS3's main core is basically the same, but its spu's can't see main memory. Each one has 256k that it can work with, so you need to rewrite your code to pack things into 256k chunks, feed it to the spu's to process it, then copy it all back to main memory. In other words, you've gotta rewrite your code. Now before I get jumped on here let me briefly mention the downsides. The 360's cpu setup is painfully easy to code for. But, they really aren't all that fast. Worse yet, all three cores use the same memory controller so the three cores are not three times the power of the one core on the PS3 due to some overhead. The PS3's spu's on the other hand are monstrously fast. You need to setup your data correctly to work with them, but once thats done then yes, -=the 360's cpu setup is crap compared to fully working spu's.=- I say fully working because most current games out there barely even touch on them, it will take time to re-write everything. I haven't done spu coding....yet. I will be though in 2007 which will be pretty cool. ----------------------------- ------------------------------ - ------------------------------ - ------------------------------ - RSX 5 shader ALU operations per pipeline per cycle (2 vector4 and 2 scalar (dual/co-issue) and fog ALU) 27 FLOPS per pipeline per cycle -=68 billion=- shader operations per second theoretical maximum ( ((5 ALU x 24 pixel pipelines) + (2 ALU x 8 vetrex pipelines)) x 500 MHz ) 364 GFLOPS ( ((27 FLOPS x 24 pixel pipelines) + (10 FLOPS x 8 vertex pipelines)) x 500 MHz ) 24 filtered and 32 unfiltered texture samples per clock Xenos 2 shader ALU operations per pipeline per cycle (1 vector4 and 1 scalar, co-issued) 10 FLOPS per pipeline per cycle -=48 billion=- shader operations per second theoretical maximum (2 ALU x 48 shader pipelines x 500 MHz) 240 GFLOPS (10 FLOPS x 48 shader pipelines x 500 MHz) 16 filtered and 16 unfiltered texture samples per clock ----------------------------- ------------------------------ - ------------------------------ - ------------------------------ - PS3 is more powerful, on x360 just only easier to develop. ;)
crazzy man that was really informative, I will make it my job to post in everythread i see with random fanboy bashing
well i just copied some interesting stuff to notepad for such occasions. =)) for example like this one: ============================= ===================== Sony is also under the mistaken impression that including the ability to play DVD movies is a huge selling point. But true technophiles and hardcore gamers probably already have DVD drives. I'm a good case in point. I already own a Sony DVD player, so I could not care less if the ""$299"" PS2 can play movies. ""I'd rather pay less and get a machine that just plays games instead."" In comparison, the Sega Dreamcast sells for ""$149"" and ""has a giant library of games already available"". Sega also has an online game network, Seganet. -- Oct. 27, 2000 ============================= ===================== with heading "Hey, come on xBOT, give us something new, then phrases of year 2000. =))" p.s. yeah, only bad, that xbots taking my bubbles down. =) not everyone like some facts. =))
wow ur full of gems
the ps3 the lead platform in this game ? I remember EA saying something about swicthing over to using the ps3 as the main dev console and later porting it to the 360. Can anyone confirm this ?
Some of you really need to snap back to reality, the game looks good and as much complaining as a lot of you are doing I am sure you will be there the first day this is released to get your copy. Quit getting hyped up about things that are not out yet, it just makes you more disappointed when something is a bit off. Not to mention its EA right???
I'm not very shocked by the look of the game, generally speaking. Looks ok Now, pay attention to some details like weapons going thru body parts, shadows coming from nowhere etc. What the hell is this crap lol
