Buying one is hardly an impossible feat; however, recently there do seem to be a higher percentage of retailers with the machine sold out.
oh no you d'dnt!
What is this "PS3 Slim" you are talking about?
looks like it has begun...*put on shades*
"v1c1ous" was correct all along. He said that PS3s were out of stock in that one Media Create article. http://n4g.com/industrynews... I thought he was just trying to spin and defend the PS3.
On August 18, 2009, Sony will announce that they will drop out of the race due to the failure of the PS3.
because its actually the slim.
PS3 Slim with PS2 BC at $299 would be the most epic thing evar~!! Make it happen Sony.
Gran Turismo 5 release date!!! >:D And announcements of Zone of the Enders 3, Legend of Dragoon 2, Dark Cloud 3, Persona 5, and... Final Fantasy 7 remake!!! O_O
Please don't tell me the PS3 slim is going to be released in Japan first. Worldwide simultaneous release Sony! I'll be first in line.
How can an xbox360 buy a PS3? Must be something I missed...-_-
Maybe he wants one to accompany his Bad Company manual? :)
Sony will exit the consolemarket because their shareholders put an end to the Billions of dollars burned on the PS3. Announced @ GamesCom with a show where Kaz will do a little dance in a pink Hannah Montana outfit.
Sony still haven't lost half of what Microsoft have with the Xbox division
lick, lick, sluuurp
to grace n4g......even he sees the funny side and knows ps3s here to stay so for once...bubbles mart
But the difference is... MS makes still money overall and has billions and billions in the bank. While Sony is having losses for a long time already and has less money available. And they're about even on losing money after all these years of PS3 Billions burned...
Dude, competition is healthy, so Sony needs to stay in the game. No doubt they'll lose this gen though. Which is completely healthy for business. Like Nintendo got beaten years ago and now found a new creative way to earn money. Although its not my prefered way they went but they got in a new group of people.
Thing is, Sony needs to put in more competition and focus their investments. No @ homo beta. Put that money into PSN where its needed to bring features that gamers want.
Really. Sony lost direction totally.
DSi 70,066 Wii 47,140 PSP 33,893 DS Lite 8,699 PS3 5,826 <- Xbox 360 5,436 PS2 4,601 I won't say if there is a slim coming, but speculating until Sony actual says something is typical. I want to hear some proof from SOny.
When a huge tidal wave is going to hit. The tide recedes in the beginning and then Bam! PS3 Slims for everyone.
PS3 slim and I would also like to believe FFXIII has something to do with this.
I was at Walmart Last night, in a little Town in Oklahoma, I always go in after work and Browse the game sections (I wait tables) to find that ALL of their PS3's had been takin off of the shelf, when the night before they had their usual 3-4 Uncharted Budles, and a couple of the 80 gb's always on display. None were there. :) Excited. To say the least.
I was in BestBuy in NJ yesterday and noticed that they only had 3 PS3s left. Two Uncharted 160GB bundels and 1 80gb unit. This is a busy store, where for the past 2 years they ahd an empty floor section with a giant pile of PS3 sitting there. The pile never got smaller, they always restocked it. Now there's 3 units left. I don't know if PS3 slim is real, but now I beleive that SOMETHING is going on.
... if you HONESTLY think that SONY won't make sure they have enough of them...
