XBox 360 Mod Chip

We've all seen the ICE modchip fakers, and heard about Devil360. Now suddenly there is another party that claims to have a modchip ready for the 360.

"The world's first Xbox 360 Mod Chip - And this time it's real. The Aladdin 360 Xbox Mod Chip was specifically designed for use in all Xbox 360 consoles. It will allow you to mod any Xbox 360 with the Samsung Drive built in. This chip will make sure that your Xbox 360 can play all import and unsigned as well as backup Xbox 360 Discs. The Aladdin Xbox 360 mod chip can also be turned off in order to allow online play. With it's 2 built in modes - the Xbox 360 mod will enable you to play all original and online games as well as all homebrew / unsigned and import Xbox 360 discs."

Real or fake again?

Who cares about mod chips. If your too poor to buy the game and have online you shouldn't own a console. These are the bastards that make the games 60$.. It cuts down on people buying the game so the games cost more!

Well, it is news, isn't it?

Besides, I also say everyone should buy original games to support the format. But on the other hand in The Netherlands we have the right to make a backup if we own the original. I like to keep my originals safe and get no scratches so it could get unreadable. THen you can play the backups without worrying getting scratches.

Furthermore, they claim this chip is also making unsigned/homebrew code to run. That would be very nice indeed.

Third, if it not would be true, it's still a story like the ICE one to have a good laugh about

Mart first I want to thank you for posting news articles. I just don't like mods!! I buy my games hey if your too lazy to take the game from the machine to the case and it gets scratched you should have to buy a new game... Anyway you can see everyone voted lame so I'm not the only 1 who doesn't like mods! Keep posting news mart we all appreciate it I just didn't like this article..Anyway peace out!

I don't post so many things, people like Outlaw should be getting major thanks man he posts like no other!

Well, I am not too lazy to take the game from machine to case, but still discs scratch. They can scratch in the 360, they can scratch when someone else borrows them, it is know that the discs can break in it's case while pushing in and pulling out. There are many reasons. And isn't it strange that we buy expensive media that can scratch? They should have locked it in a plastic case that you can put into a player that opens it inside. Like Minidisc for example.

It's not my faulth that they always scratch and I think I should be able to avoid that.

I know that a lot of persons don't like mods. I know that there are many people playing illegal games and that's bad. But still, on the other hand it's crazy that I have to pay money when the game doesn't work anymore by scratches or cracks after 90 days.

It's a lot of money for one game you know!
And what about homebrew software? I like my XBMC on my old xbox, it can do more then the Media Center on the 360 at this moment. But when unlocked with a modchip the full Media Center can run.

I really don't care how many people vote lame on it. It's just news about a modchip. I don't want to loose my warranty on the 360 now, so I won't use it probably right away. We'll see. But if you think it's lame, that's allright

Game on!

What happens when the next update comes along. And checks for this mod. How do you know MS is not storinginfo about usage on the the HHD and uploading when you sing in. Lot of risks there. $400 is to much to pay for something not to work the way it was meant to be. This thing has security built into the chipset and gets updates regulary. I just don't believe a modchip can keep up with all that.

If I knew how to make them I would! :)

The only way to really run this modchip is to buy a seperate console, and leave it disconnected to the internet.

That way, no updates on both games and X360 bios.

UNLESS....MS go the way of Sony and force you to update when you buy an original game, but more that likely the person with the modchip will have the copied version, which will remove this problem.

I can't see this chip being real, no rightup, no notice, it just pops up, but if it's true, MS are in trouble again in the piracy scheme of things.

The games are released with updates on the disk, to help keep people upto date. Microsoft would just have to ship the new games with the update on and the modders would be fecked.

Oh btw, I dont believe this, im callingfake.
