World of Warcraft: Cataclysm ... Portents of a Prophecy

Worldofwar.net has released a handful of articles in the past weeks revealing known lore of the South Seas, and analyzing how the World of Warcraft MMORPG's storylines, novels and manga have been leaving hints and breadcrumbs toward what the recent Cataclysm trademark might mean.

This time, WorldofWar.net adds a bit of lore from the World of Warcraft ongoing comic book series by Wildstorm that might shed some light about an upcoming catastrophe and a prophecy mentioned in the comic book.

Cho'gall and his Twilight's Hammer Clan serve the Old god C'thun who isn't completely dead. They want the son of Medivh the Last Guardian and Garona for a plan that will bring destruction to the world of Azeroth. Ulduar and the Hall of Lightning show a hologram of the world of Azeroth in which Kalimdor is broken in half and sundered underwater-- as shown in the image above.

Sounds like a big Cataclysm will soon shake the foundations of our favorite MMORPG. (PC, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King)
