Since the day Gooch left Square and Nobuo no longer involved in FF games, the FF games has lost a lot of its identity. While FF12 was a good game, in my opinion it is the worst FF game after FF X-2.
Nit-picked by spoiled western RPG purists and fanboys. It was the best turn based JRPG released this gen. It had a strong story, great characters and was a visual spectacle. Sure it was conventional, but isn't that the point? Lost Odyssey was the game that convinced me (long time Sony-system owner) to finally cave and purchase a 360 - Vesperia and a few other JRPG titles tipped the scale as well. (And yes Vesperia is coming out on the PS3 too, but not for a good while and I got the damned thing for $20 as opposed to what it will cost when it launches in NA.) I don't think that I'm some sort of console messiah for owning all three systems this gen, but if you are ignoring a game simply because of some irrational dislike of a faceless corporation (that goes for Sony, MS or Nintendo), you're really cheating yourself out of some brilliant gaming experiences. P.S. By the same token, if you're a 360 owner and you haven't played either Demon's Souls, Heavenly Sword or Uncharted, you have no idea what you're missing.
I agree, Lost odyssey is the best RPG this genration. and am confident that Mistwalker next game will be better.
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king
Give me a good reason, Have you played the game?
I liked lost odyssey and it in my list of my top games on xbox 360. I hope square-enix to deliver a good RPG with FF13 and Versus 13.
