The DS remake of Final Fantasy III is about to launch across Europe this Friday, but it could have been a different story if Nintendo hadn't stepped in and persuaded Square Enix to go with the DS.
The company's original plan was to release the remake on the old, faithful PlayStation 2. But there seems to have been a bit of a last minute bidding war from Nintendo.
Final Fantasy III is an adventure unlike any other, but one worth going back in time to experience.
The SNES was probably the best all-around retro console in terms of its game library and the sheer number of hits that were released on the system. It’s no wonder that these 15 games are just a few of the SNES games that hold up today.

Square Enix has just announced that they'll be releasing Four Souls, a vinyl collection of iconic tracks from Final Fantasy III.
they mean actually FFIII, not FFIII as known in the states right? FFIII in the states was FFVI in Japan..
Just give me a remake of FFVII thats all i ask for.
