Xbox 360 gamers are not happy with how Microsoft is treating the "Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood" DLC problem

A new map pack was released for Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood on August 6, 2009. After accidentally releasing the DLC for free on Xbox Live, the downloadable content appears to be broken. Gamers are paying 800 points and not being able to download the map pack. After three days the problem still remains.

Tsk tsk.

Always something wrong with XBL.
Never had a problem with PSN tho!

I guess you get what you pay for.

Oh wait..

:)

I just dont understand how you 360 guys and girls put up with Microsoft this gen. I read a thread earlier of some guy who went through 9 xboxes. Seriously, we as gamers should not stand for any of this crap. I've never had an xbox, and I dont think I'll be getting one anytime soon. But I just find it confusing how some people keeping going back to MS for more.

Microsoft has created a big mess out of all of this. They should pay the price.

EDIT: Its funny how people disagree just because they dont want to hear the truth. Do you love Microsoft so much that you will not acknowledge their shortcomings? Well newsflash: MICROSOFT DOES NOT KNOW YOU PERSONALLY!! All they care about is your money. Disagree all you want.

Xistan5373d ago

Indeed. and instead of fixing the problems, Microsoft just keeps on exploiting its customers.

Obama5373d ago

It's like asking how Bush got the second term. The general public is just stupid; the masses are sheep who are easily manipulated by the media and alike.

Saaking5373d ago

Man, MS ripping off consumers BIG SURPRISE... MS is known for ripping off customers I seriously do not understand how the bots can defend them and have the nerve to say X360 is better than PS3.

xztence5373d ago

Took the words right out of my mouth.

there are so many things they are getting ripped off with its funny.

-Mezzo-5373d ago

agreed. M$ should no threat their fans in such manner.

Xistan5373d ago (Edited 5373d ago )

Microsoft wont let any chance slip to make its customers pay.

They wouldn't be Microsoft if they did.

Not really what you'd expect from a "premium" service like Xbox Live.

erathaol5373d ago (Edited 5373d ago )

No machine can run without running to a glitch here or there at some point, you just have to hope for the best, especially with a massive server data base like XBLA.

I wonder how problems like this will affect Digital Downloads when they do hit mainstream audiences, I mean these problems don't exactly give the best impression as of right now.

sunil5373d ago

Ubi gave it for free and MS charged for it? WoW

womper5373d ago

some people had live dlc issues longer than 3 days. that times nothing.

50CALheadshot5372d ago

you would think that by now M$ would at LEAST use K-y jelly

Tjtroublemaker5372d ago

yup, Im just TOTALLY upset......i think i may have to kill myself.......stupid stereotype, i never even thought about playing that. Why would I be upset. They need to learn to use adjectives like "some" or "a handfull". Please do not generalize, its not nice lol

F the MS points system.

betrayed gamer5373d ago (Edited 5373d ago )

really no tax involved i say its better then the playstaion cash system, and they made the point system better for ppl like you who hate it by allowing paypal.

edit. true the numbers are funky but if you know basic math its easy to figure out.

swiftshot935373d ago

Actually, (at least where I live) there is no tax charged on PSN.

I'll agree that I dont like the MS point system too. 1600 points for $20 isnt right. Nintendo charges you $20 for 2000 points, and sony doesnt even have a points system. Its not that big of a deal but I dont really like either...

dktxx25373d ago

A straight cash system is way better. Points are just a way to haggle every little penny from you.

To be fair MS isn't the only company to use that system, and I'm surprised Sony doesn't either. It doesn't make them a bad evil company.

ZOMBIEMAN15373d ago

screw that sh!t no points cash only hell what's the point of a point system outside of games you don't accumulate points with achievement points ( i think ) just use money it's easy that way and really don't defend it neither ppl prefer having a normal price tag not points ( except in video games )

Panthers5373d ago

ummm I dont pay tax on PSN and I live in US.

Kleptic5373d ago

yeah is tax simply worked into the advertised price on the PSN?...because you rent a movie for $1.99 and your account is charged exactly that...

and no...the point system for xbl is simply to confuse individuals and impose a different thought process to the value associated with whatever you are buying...its text book ad procedure these days...you see a number like 800...can't quickly correlate it with a direct monetary value, and become vulnerable to an impulse purchase...that is EXACTLY what the point system is there to do...

its not 'bad'...but its definitely NOT there to make the system user friendly, or to 'help' the end consumer...don't act surprised, MS never puts the end consumer first...they put business partners and shareholders first...always...

f7897905372d ago

That's a load of bull****. Seeing cash is better than having to do math (I know it's easy) every time you want to buy something.

Everyone kill Betrayed Gamer's bubbles for saying something so idiotic.

Marquis_de_Sade5372d ago

There is a bonus to the MS points system, by shopping around you can actually pick up a 2100 points card cheaper, saving money. Plus the prices are slightly more expensive on the PS3, however this is more than leveled out by the ridiculous cost of Live.

Video Game Music Spotlight #1: The Old West

VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "Each of these articles will be centered around a specific theme, whether that's a style of music, a specific console, or just something completely different. Also, at the end of each of these articles, I will pose a video game music related question on something usually related to the theme of the article, which you can answer in the comments below if you so wish. Each article will highlight between five and ten different tracks from various games, in no particular order.

With that in mind, let's start with a theme that's quite timely and relevant right now thanks to the recent release of Red Dead Redemption 2. The American old west has inspired countless different video games and produced some amazing pieces of music over the years, so let's have a listen to just a few such tracks."
