Activision has announced that Tony Hawk Ride will cost £100 in the UK. The game has also received a release date of November 20th, and a special limited edition board is being made available via retailer GAME.
That's 1/3 the price of the PS3, and they also have this and band hero, dj hero and Guitar hero ALSO coming out if you but all of them it will cost MORE than a PS3 with 2 games...
Thank gosh I dont give a fuk about Activision and their games right now. Considering all the trash they've been talking lately.
I think I'll pass....
lol this game is going to flop royal
@ tripewire I think alot of people will do the same...
like the ET game to happen with this game and all other peripheral based games from activision! (although that's quite a long shot) it will be funny to have a burial land for unsold craps from activision!! who ever buy this is a fvcking LOOSER!
How about NO
Activision, is it a game company or a toy store?
and I heard their office is full of stupids which don't even care what gaming really is!
... to wag his finger at the PS3, then the MW2 fiasco, and then THIS? There's a severe case of hubris going on somewhere at Activision. FAIL.
I just hope and pray that every and all of Activisions games just tanks at retail and that they lose the shirts off their back.
Not getting it, way over priced.
douche bag Bobby Kotick. "We're in a better position than our rivals" STFU retard.
God that guy pisses me off.
Bobby Kotick: Retarded asshole.
$200 bucks to look like a douchebag? ahahahaha
also this is about as lame as wii music lolol
You might aswell buy a real skateboard for that much money lol
True. Plus i would rather actually faceplant falling off it than give £100 to Bobby Kotick and Co.
Did nobody tell Activision that the Tony Hawks games have been crap since Tony Hawks 3? SKATE is where it's at for a good skateboarding game these days. Plus you wont get bent over when you buy it unlike this gimmicky crap.
Don't be silly.... Why would you buy a real skateboard, when you can pretend to skate board on this and do it in with the lights off in the dark with your night vision goggles all bought and payed for by rich parents.. that way if you fall off, the only thing you will be falling into and breaking is the 40" lcd ( also bought and paid for by rich parents ! ) EXTREAM SARCASM !! Activision ftw ! someone needs to put the whole lot of them and anyone buying this crap in the gallows so we can throw rotten tomatoes at them ! Boycott, boycott, boycott !!! ( starting with modern warfare 2)
I hope this game flops and Activision gets sued by parents whose kids are putting their heads through their TV as they fly off their boards.
lolololol... thats just what i was saying in my post. lol
Oops, sorry. I should have hit refresh. Your imagery was better then mine :)
it would have to be absolutely amazing to sell at that price! and judging by previous tony hawks games I highly doubt it! No matter how good it is, I won't be buying it, I'd rather play Tony Hawks 2, absolutely quality title!
Dunno about the other people in UK but i'd rather go amsterdam for the weekend lol
Well well well, it looks like its the end of the line for the Tony Hawk games franchise. You can tell that this game is going to be awful by the utilisation of a gimmicky plastic turd controller. Even without the idiotic plastic skate deck this game will be vastly dissapointing, just like all the others (THPS3 onwards imo). The Skate franchise is the way forward, no doubt about it. Tony has had his day (more like life!) in the gaming world, its time for him to hang up his pixelated board and slip away. Goodbye, I will reminisce the old days but nothing more.
Dude, just shut the doors on A/vision.
I think I speak for most of the gamer community when I say this: F*CK YOU ACTIVISION!!!!!!
why would I want to buy a 200 dollar piece of equipment when I can get a real skateboard for less
has flop written all over it
I feel for you guys. You should revolt against this crap with your wallets.
