Kombo: The King of Fighters XII Review

Kombo writes: "It was fifteen years ago when The King of Fighters first stepped into the 2D fighting game scene which was dominated by both Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. SNK combined some of their best fighters from both the Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting series and put together a game to see who was the best of the best. The end result was a game that had a cult following and continued to grow stronger as the years went on. Today, we witness "The Re-Birth" as The King of Fighters celebrates it's 15th anniversary with The King of Fighters XII.

Now so far in 2009 we've been spoiled with Street Fighter IV and BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. Sadly, The King of Fighters XII doesn't hold a lick to either of these games. There's no storyline or big boss at the end to fight against. However, I can tell you that for what's featured in the game and for how it plays, The King of Fighters XII is still a good fighting game. It's a three-on-three fighting (no tag-team) featuring some of the most technical maneuvers, special moves, and counters making The King of Fighters XII a rather deep experience..."

The story is too old to be commented.
