CNET: Zune HD hands-on look, impressions, tears of joy

Cnet:

"I'll admit right off the bat that I've been a pretty big fan of the Zune ever since I bought my first one back in 2007. I've also had some disappointments, which I haven't been shy about sharing--and last year's half-hearted Zune hardware refresh had me losing faith that Microsoft would be able to steer this one out of the ditch."

very nice indeed. I am so glad they stuck the nvidia tegra in there. It should have some really good battery life now. I am willing to bet it is way higher than the previous Zune and iPod touches'. I don't see why it can't play flash, as it has the Tegra in it... Maybe through a firmware update? Or maybe they will have it supported before it ships this fall. I am most interested in the HD Radio as well as the 720p output to your TV.

Incredible looking device. Tegra. OLED. Accelerometer. 720p. Wifi.

Oh yes, it will be mine.

CNet is one of the most respected names in the industry. If you want fawning reviews of someone's favorite prodcuts go somewhere else.

If you want honest, neutral, smart, reality-based hardware reveiws -- goto Cnet.

They've been doing this for 30 year -- their reputation is pristine.

Cnet is owned by the same people who did Shopper Magazine -- which started in 1979 to cover computer hardware.

If they say the Zune HD kicks ass -- you can bet it does. From what I can see, this is a breakout killer device.

I wonder if this will launch with any Xbox LIVE connectivity? XNA already runs on the existing Zune hardware, it wouldnt take much to add a Indy Marketplace to the Zune.

The WinMo Marketplace would be nice too.
