Bionic Commando is a good arcade action title and is probably the first true 3D swing-'em-up that works. It completely trounces its nearest rival in the form of the Spiderman games. Ultimately this is not a Gears of War beater, it feels too linear and repetitive to really score full marks. However, with the summer games drought now set in, Bionic Commando is worth a punt. It may not excel but it doesn't disappoint either. To sum up: a worthy and enjoyable sequel to the eighties classic and definitely a better remake than the new A-ha album. -
