"Back in January of this year, we switched on our doom-and-gloom machine and predicted which of 2009's most anticipated titles would inevitably be pushed back to 2010. We didn't want to be right. In fact, we spent the next six months wishing, hoping and praying that the industry would prove us wrong.
It didn't. Every game on that list has now either been delayed, heavily rumored as delayed, publicized so little that we can only assume it's delayed or, in one special case, cancelled altogether. But that was just the beginning. Over the past few weeks, we've watched in horror and guilt as more than a dozen additional titles – including some very heavy hitters we never would've predicted – were sent scurrying into the next decade as well.
Here, then, is the damage… the tattered remnants of what 2009 could have been. We'll mourn each lost game and try to give you some perspective on why the release date had to change. Then, we'll dry your bitter tears with an optimistic look at the stuff that's still left."
Insider Gaming has learned that Void Interactive, the developers of Ready or Not, have had 4TB of data stolen in massive breach that includes all of the game's source code, including console builds.
"The Seattle-based (the US) indie games developer Batterystaple Games are today very happy and excited to announce that they have just released the 1.2 content update for their mega-roguelite platformer “30XX” (the sequel to Batterystaple Games’ roguelite/platformer 20XX).
The said update is available right now for PC via Steam (the Nintendo Switch update of the game will launch in a very near future)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.
2009s been great so far. At least for me.
Killzone 2
Infamous
Street Fighter IV
Resident Evil 5
Red Faction
Ghostbusters
MLB 09
And you've still got:
Uncharted 2
Halo ODST
GTA DLC Disk
Assassin's Creed 2
Rachet and Clank
Dragon Age: Origins
COD MW2
Brutal Legends
As some one who works full time, I appreciate the fact that not everything is releasing at once. Heck, I was still playing some late 2008 releases until Killzone 2 dropped.
When did Bayonetta and Dark Void get delayed?
people stop whining over delayed games! games are not delayed just because to get people angry. the biggest reason is that developers dont have enough time to finish the product that they want to serve it to us and the 2nd reason is because if he all the games that were scheduled to come in that holiday season, the sales for some games would be low, because this year is ridiculous even with the delayed games. idk where im gonna get the money to buy all the games i want.
Moder Warfare 2 Happen.
We haven't even made it to the fall yet...
What happened to 2009? Nothing happened, a few games got delayed, we still got a lot of great titles and there is still a lot yet to come...
