Call of Duty Classic Coming To PSN, XBLA 'Eventually'

Back when Infinity Ward first revealed the special editions for Modern Warfare 2, little was mentioned about Call of Duty Classic, a downloadable version of the original Call of Duty game released in 2003.

Those who buy either the Hardened or Prestige editions will be given a token to download the game for free.

But what about those who just want to buy the regular edition? Well, you can download Call of Duty Classic, too, but you'll have to wait. (Call of Duty, Call of Duty: World at War, Culture, Dev, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

....or you could buy it on steam, it's not exactly a demanding game

Some people like myself prefer the good ol' sticks to keyboard and mouse combination. And the community of PSN and occasionally xbox live (when you are not partnered up with 12 year olds or frat boys) is more enjoyable to some.

uh, what does XBL/PSN differences have to do with steam or the call of duty PC fanbase?

Good 'ol sticks?

Since when were they the best control scheme for FPS, especially old-school PC FPS?

The PS3 can support mouse & keyboard, so I hope CoD Classic does as well.

It better have trophies/achievments..
Marquis_de_Sade  +   1390d ago
That's a given as all Arcade games have achievements (not community made ones though) and it's well past the Sony deadline for mandatory trophies in PS3 games.

yah it will but the problem is that its only 200 points, basicly like 10 achievements or less
jonnyp777  +   1389d ago
@ 2.2 - Not necessarily....
...because they could make small value achievements to allow more. They could have 200, one point achievements if they wanted. A little exaggerated, but I hope you see my point, haha.

COD4 is the worst out of all the CODs, its TOO n00b friendly

Odds on activision trying to charge £40 for this?

Myself and my friends are only buying COD:MW2 preowned. Screw you Infinity ward.

CoD2 is my favorite

Will this include UO too?
Shbzshar  +   1390d ago
nah i dont think so ...
jonnyp777  +   1389d ago
Most likely not because....
...according to my box, UO was developed by Gray Matter Studios, not Infinity Ward. Would be nice though.
