This week the world celebrates one of mankind's greatest accomplishments: walking on the moon. Forty years ago, on July 20th, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the surface of another world. This moment has become a touchstone for technology and the undeniable human will to explore. However, the moon as a setting has been largely forgotten. In fact, in the history of video games only a handful have had the moon as a gameplay locale. The moon so easily captured the imagination of the planet 40 years ago, why have game developers ignored it?
