MICROSOFT remained coy about Vista and Office 2007 sales during its conference call with analysts yesterday evening and didn't go into details of the different SKUs it's shifted.
GET IT ON!!!
Let the SEC deal with it.
Chance are, your using a MS OS anyway. And thats the bottom line.
@3.1 & 3.2: Say what you want about me, you know its the truth.
@3.3 Billy "wannabe" Gates: keep begging for bubbles b!tch.
"Everyone who has 3 or less bubbles, lets ALL unite and give each other props to get our bubbles back. We must NOT give up, and let the a-holes of this site silence us just because they don't like our opinions/comments, and think their opinions are superior to ours."
@6 Power of Green: Bubble for you bro.
@7.1 If your trying to make me laugh, go back to your Austin Powers avatar. Apple isn't even a contender in the PC OS department. Even major gaming magazine dropped apple and mac OS X.? coverage completely.
@11: Bubble for you sir.
cyber monkey says.... baaaaaa baaaaaa
where your head starts and MS @ss begins.
Hey Cyber monkey you forgot to call us lemmings. HAHAHAHAHA
@Power of Gangrene, you....well you're just a green turd. Along with Bladefart. I'm actually starting to like TheMART. He never gives up, no matter how dumb he is..hahahhahaa
Keep it up TheMART, you're the greatest.
I wonder if this was dug upin response to the other sales thread?.
more then likely
"A lot of the 65 per cent rise in Microsoft's Q3 revenues was brought forward from the previous quarter and is related to a coupon scheme it funded.
The firm also changed its accounting method so that every time it ships a Vista licence, the revenue accrues in that quarter rather than over a period of time as it did with Windows XP."
Now those are some sound business practices.
You have to wonder what schemes they'll think up when the next version of Windows releases.
Wouldn’t expect anything less from you, oh by the way your comment is a lie. You must work for one of those other operating systems (you know one of the failed ones)
I love the way Microsoft operates; unfortunately, their investors don't.
Its to bad DJ your computer runs on windows, otherwise you might look like a hypocrite or a liar.
Whatever lets you people sleep better at night lol.
If people think the anti MS armies are bad now just wait untill MS's vista blows up and the Xbox 360 starts running away from the PS3 futher widening the gap, watch!.
You just can't get it out of ur ass that ur precious 360 is not selling well outside of America.

What’s that stinging sensation you feel on the side of your face? oh yeah that me slapping you with truth.
i don't know how much of this is legit, but i know someone, that works for the Govt. and he works in some of the top secret stuff like the stealth camo suits etc. well he told me not to buy vista, that the govt (home land security) approached MS with an offer to be lighter on the MS regulations if MS aggreed to add in some easedropping software into vista, so they can monitor any and all pc communication. what amount of truth of this i don't know, just saying what i heard...... i use Mac so i don't worry....
its only a matter of time until apples OS has the same thing then.
But really um what do you have to hide?
I was gonna say anyways, um even with xp or OSx or whatever OS, the government can keep track of stuff(maybe not as well). Its been happening for a while. Just like monitoring phone calls.
i have nothing to hide, i am a designer so i use mac, i was just restating what was told to me, thought maybe someone might know more about it. *cough cough*
but still privacy is also nice. like when it comes to online purchaces with my bank card, how do i know that the included easedropping cant leak that out to some hackers.... we all know MS isnt secure.......
"So even though on the face of things, Microsoft has indeed done well, the jury remains out on how Vista is selling until we see evidence from a further two or three quarters.
In the meantime we'll also have a better idea of how the other Windows barometers, like CPU sales, graphics cards and memory, are performing. The semiconductor firms don't seem to be growing their businesses, just jostling for market share. Microsoft doesn't have that problem, does it?"
Last time I check there is not much serious competition to the OS Market, anyone comes up with one, let me know::
"So even though on the face of things, Microsoft has indeed done well, the jury remains out on how Vista is selling until we see evidence from a further two or three quarters."
[[yeah evidence(creditable sources) would be nice whenever you make accusations]]
Well the last time they "bashed" M$ and said they admitted Vista was a failure, which obviously M$ would never admit.....it seems they continue their anti-M$ campaign and again they make accusations but provide no proof to back them up. I really don't think Vista is neccessary yet, except for a very few people, so I could understand if this was the extent of their criticism but it just seems as if they have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to M$....I read alot of their old news articles related to M$ when I saw the last article posted on N4G from them and IMO its clear they never liked Vista long before it was even released....hmmm, I wonder if they like Linux OS?
this could be true, but if someone really wants your info, chances are they'll get it. Even if you do have a mac.
But yeah like IE explorer has privacy issues. I don't use it, i use firefox, and i usually don't buy anything online, and if i do, i shred my temporary internet files. Though that probably wont do the job.
CPU competition between AMD and INTEL has heated back up.
GPU competition between ATI(DirectX10) and NVIDA(DirectX10) has heated back up.
That will only drive more cheaper computer systems from HP and company,Vista sales,, and if not Vista then XP, you can spin it how you want you want, it is still Microsoft behind them OS's.
It's paintful isn't? People can't deal with the fact that microsoft is profitable. LOL. Now, we are seing a bunch of articles questioning that fact... I heard of companies ilegally lowering their earning to give less to investors... but exagerating it? LOL.
How is he withholding information by saying that? How is he misleading people by saying that? Could you imagine the CEO of Sony telling investors that PS3 sales aren't as good as everyone expected?
After NPD numbers I heard a Sony official state that 6 million PS3's were sold, when vgchartz shows it at 3 million. That is overstating by 100%. In fact here is a link and snippet:
" Chubachi believes that Sony hit their target of 6 million consoles sold at the end of March. ..."
