FUEL's most advertised feature is its massive free-roam landscape. Think Burnout Paradise, only a hundred times bigger. The world is based a few decades into the future ,where climate change has finally caught up with the world and nothing is the way it once was. Only a few burnt down forests break up the vast landscape, which fails to be visually nourishing. The map is split into several areas known as camps. Right from the beginning of the game you can travel anywhere on the map, and no invisible walls or no entry signs halt your path. However, if you wish to progress, you will have to win races to earn stars in order to unlock the next camp.
