Black Gate Prison gutted by fire

Fire tore through the high security wing of Blackgate Prison early Friday morning, destroying a number of holding cells and the northeast guard tower. More than 50 injuries have been reported thus far, mostly first and second-degree burns. There are no reports of fatalities at this time and all inmates have been accounted for, said a Blackgate spokesperson, in what he considered to be "a successful evacuation."
