IGN writes: "Ant Nation might provide a brief diversion for the desperately bored or the blind. But the simple mission requirements are too shallow to really sink your teeth into and these visuals are a joke. The Bonus mode is more fun than the campaign, because it relishes in the absurdity of blowing up swarms of ants with a rocket launcher. The regular game has bizarre elements, too, but then gives the player a bunch of mundane tasks to complete.
Still, at $7 it's considerably cheaper than a real ant farm, comes with no risk of being knocked over and spilling ants into your house, and includes a rocket launcher. When I put it that way, I guess it sounds pretty awesome. It's not, though".
