Jaffe needs to come hard with whatever he's working on next. I don't want another title anticipated like "Calling All Cars" and then it turns out to blow chunks. Although he has titles like God of War and Twisted Metal under his belt (which is pretty solid from the start), he really hasn't released anything that we can dub great since then.
Hoping that he comes back hard with whatever he's making, I'll keep my fingers crossed.
To use it against him's a little unfair though and lets see what he rocks up with as he's proven himself plenty in the past, no?
They are great games that are recarnation of games from golden gaming era, where games where hard and about fun.
Jaffe has said he would like to announce it at E3, but it would probably be revealed before that at it's own separate venue (I assume through a magazine). That means it would easily be revealed by next year.
Also, why are people still wondering if it's Twisted Metal or not? There was the code in the PSP game (METAL IS COMING ON PSTHREE) http://kotaku.com/353706/ja... Then there was that design document Jaffe flashed across his webcam that said Twisted Metal on it. Stop speculating. We already know what it is.

The PSP god of war sucked. Just leave it on consoles where it belongs.
for a handheld, I thought chains of olympus was awesome. But as a god of war game, i felt that it did not measure up.
but i agree with presto that as a gow it wasnt the same ...i hope when they make a new one its much longer!
are you sure you've played chains of olympus? it was awesome! controls are fine (IMO) if that is your gripe.
calling all cars was actually quite fun when it was first released and you could still find people to play against online. the singleplayer however is god awful.
He wasn't forced, he still didn't admit it. I'm sure it's TM though.
Considering 'Eat Sleep Play' are a self claimed developer of "small-to-medium titles", I'm doubtful it will be something like Twisted Metal or God of War...but I can always hope. I'm interested in what it is, but I'm certainly keeping my expectations in check here.

He already said the game would be announced either before or during E3 2010 so how exactly is this news?
It's becoming more of an annoyance than a treat, actually. It would be funny as hell if he's hyping a game that's going to be a 2D sidescroller.
