Next time you turn on WipEout HD you'll be greated with a prompt to update to 2.00. It's a 109MB patch which, it's possible this patch puts a few things in place for the DLC coming on Thursday. From the patch notes:
* Brand new Statistics section
* Reworked ship and track select screens
* New community functionality has been added to make it easier to play with friends online
* Several small improvements to both single player and online gameplay
