WoW Waiting for Chinese Approval

Gamer Limit writes: "Blizzard have gotten themselves into a bit of hot water in China involving a change in operating procedure. As a result, the local version of WoW has been down for roughly 6 weeks now, and it's looking unlikely that this embargo will be rising any time soon.

Due to strict rules regarding MMO's, and gaming in general, local distributors, or "operators" of foreign games have to submit the game to the government for review of new content. The government, unsurprisingly, didn't like what they saw in Blizzard's latest refresh of the 3 year old title." (PC, World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King)
