Russian game company to establish US office, publish its games in North America for first time; Atari signs on for distribution, copublishing deal.
Moscow-based game developer and publisher 1C today announced that it will be publishing its own slate of games in the US for the first time later this year.
Helping the company with its distribution is the US branch of Atari, located in New York City. Under the agreement, Atari will have the rights to distribute and copublish upcoming 1C games in North America.
1C has also revealed that it will open up offices in North America but did not specify a location. The move will continue the company's expansion, which has seen new offices set up in Asia and the UK.
