Nintendo sounds worried.

I wonder if it has to do with graphics. Rumor is a 720p lurks within the Wii..but is only software blocked.

Nintendo should've just went regionless like it did with the DS games. That would've stopped some modding.

Out of the 3 consoles, the Wii has he worst protection. There's 3 great paysites up with wii games for d/l. I'd be extremely worried too. Look at gamecube. 5 good titles the rest are crap and Wii is following that same path.

In a few countries not very many how laws against modding YOUR hardware. Japan, USA, and England all say it's ok to do as long as your not using it for copyright infringment.

one of the reasons why nintendo stayed with cartridges so long was because they knew how easy it would be for the future to copy disks and modify the systems to read burnt games. they are smart to know this is an issue all over (USA, JAPAN, EUROPE), but how many wii owners would they lose out on $ for doing so?
i agree with ITR on region blocking... some will mod ONLY to play region blocked titles, but in all seriousness... almost everyone who mods a system did so to play copied games
