Tech-Gaming writes: "Recently, a colleague in the gaming press lamented over the stagnancy of the role playing gaming. He claimed that the genre remained overly steeped in the mechanics of Dungeons and Dragons, and that the same narrative of a protagonist saving the world was rampant within the games. While recent PSP release Crimson Gem Saga does little to refute that critic's observation, I found its gameplay to be a wonderful respite from the complicated nature of many contemporary titles. In the case of this delightfully old-school RPG from developer Atlus, familiarity can be a virtue." B+/A+
