EA Doubles Battlefield 1943 Server Capacity

EA's online-only multiplayer FPS Battlefield 1943 reached server capacity shortly after release yesterday.

The popularity of the DICE developed shooter – which launched on Xbox Live and hits PSN today - seemingly caught the developer by surprise, but it has moved quickly to almost double server capacity in order to limit player connection problems.

This game is worth every penny and a total joy. I believe the server issues will resolve itself sooner or later. I already have this on XBL, and will purchase this from the PSN as well ( mainly due to the friends and family list I have for each console ). A truly enjoyable multiplayer

Is there a demo? Gonna have to try this out when I wake up.

@murder

Yes there is an online trial version as well. I played it loved it stormed out and got me more MS points cards and purchased it. Great old school fun. Much better than the stupid BF:heroes on PC. Already got 9/12 achievments.

Well, it's great that EA is addressing the situation.

I might have to check this one out myself. I'll probably DL the demo in the next day or two.

That is funny, because I thought that BF: Heroes is better.

For $15 you can't go wrong with this title. But at the same time, you are only getting 3 maps, 1 gameplay mode, and 3 classes to choose from. What is there is good, but there is not much there.

I've been able to play it on PS3 and it's incredibly immersive and addictive, i intend to buy it on 360 but i haven't been able to connect to the 360 servers, so i'm waiting.

Took me awhile to finally be able to connect last night but damn it is fun. It obviously doesn't have the amount of maps, weapons, and so forth that a full retail shooter might so I don't know how long I'll keep playing but it's very polished for an XBLA/PSN shooter.

EA and Dice didn't think this game would get as much attention as it did.

I guess this is a pleasent surprise for them.

I got the trial version this morning but it still cannot connect to the EA servers.
