GameShark: Cross Edge Review

In the end, this is a movie for collectors and fans with a casual game tacked on. The voice acting is quality and the actual character art direction (in cut scenes) is decent, it's just not a game. What you're really purchasing is an interactive movie that lets you change your characters clothes. If you're a big fan of any of these series pick this up… when the price has dramatically dropped. Otherwise, give it a pass.

"In the end, this is a movie for collectors and fans with a casual game tacked on."

"What you're really purchasing is an interactive movie that lets you change your characters clothes."

Is this a joke? I'm starting to really think that most reviewers aren't even playing this game. I mean, a movie with a CASUAL game tacked on? All it lets you do is change your characters clothes? Give me a break, that's NOTHING like what this game is about. It's certainly not casual, it has a very deep battle system. It's simple in mechanics, but deep in strategy. You have to bring in the right members, equip the right weapons, with the right skills, and set yourself up in the right formation, and then you have to manage your skill use and construct combos, accomplishing overkills, overbreaks, bursts, downs, etc. to keep your AP stocked and keep the combo going, in the process maximizing the score you get for the battle and getting more TP to spend on more useful things. It's quite fun and deep. I don't see how they can call it casual and say it's just an interactive movie.

These reviews are starting to become an absolute joke of misinformation and baseless opinions.

I think most people don't like it just cause of the graphics.
