Gamers angry over Xbox 360 ads after paying $50 for XBL

One of the hot topics today revolves around Microsoft's plan to bring Silverlight ads onto Xbox Live service. This has gotten many Xbox 360 owners angry as they are already paying $50 for the service. Despite Microsoft's reassurance that gamer experience will not be hampered by the ads, many fans from NeoGaf to the official Xbox forums have started complaining about this issue.

i dont think the point is that its being shown on the menu screen, but the fact that making ad space for companies to advertise on the service means that Microsoft makes money for these ads to show up while making money off of the consumer who is paying for the service all at the same time.

Personally, I wouldn't want to see an ad for 5 seconds if I was paying for a service. I just don't think its right.

thats why i didnt renew quore or our cable or ever gotten a magazine subscription...
