Valve: More 360 DLC Coming for Left 4 Dead

Talking to OXM at a preview event for Left 4 Dead 2, Valve's Doug Lombardi confirmed that the company is planning on releasing "at least one" new piece of DLC for Left 4 Dead on 360.

thats why Valve is one of my fav devs because always support there tites

Eiffel3365d ago

They've barely been supporting Left 4 Dead...

HarukoHex3365d ago

i wouldn't call Free DLC barely supporting. thats better then halo 3s trash heap DLC maps. that you also have to pay for.

ThanatosDMC3365d ago

Just one DLC? A dlc should have been out for the PC ages ago. Dont be satisfied with BS.

SpoonyRedMage3365d ago

They've already released DLC and quite a few updates so STFU until you actually know what you're talking about.

Are you sure that you know what YOU are talking about Spoony? I play an awful lot of Left4Dead (nearly 300 hrs played), and I would agree with the sentiment that Valve has "barely" been supporting L4D.

The addition of a time trial mode and two versus campaigns that should have come out of the box is hardly "support".

Especially when compared to Team Fortress 2 (which I have nearly 1000 hrs played).

SpoonyRedMage3365d ago

I'm on about Thanatos who seems to be under the impression that there hasn't been any updates.

I don't think it's fair to compare it to other games though, otherwise we should compare it to every other game in which case it's had better support than the majority but yer, more support would be nice.

In my opinion, comparison between games by the same developer is a fair one.

Had Valve not promised substantial updates to their consumers, I don't think that the nay-sayers would have a leg to stand on. But Valve did say they would be releasing NEW campaigns, characters, and special infected and has never made good on that promise.

There's good reason to be miffed.

Redgehammer3364d ago

is that 1000 hours on PC or 360? I am closing in on 1300 hours on 360 and Valve is yet to give us Any updates (which btw i would be happy to pay for.

Kids these days. Spoony you call that a DLC? "New" versus campaign map which should have been there from the get go and survival mode?

Ahh cool, wonder what it'll be?

JasonPC360PS3Wii3365d ago

And the PS3 still doesn't get ether one

caladbolg7773365d ago

Thankfully they're not making a PS3 port. IMO, they shouldn't have even done a 360 version. The game suffered severely because of it.

How exactly did Left 4 Dead suffer because of the 360?

It was developed entirely on the PC and please don't you dare say the graphics cause I will roll across this house in laughter.

I hope it's a new campaign level.

TheBand1t3365d ago

I hear that. That's all me and my cousin play at his house, and I'm getting tired of being chucked out of that tall ass building by tanks.

Eiffel3365d ago (Edited 3365d ago )

Better be more campaigns. The Survival Pack sucked hard.

Lol! That is exactly what people want a gimped time trial with two campaigns left out of Versus even though they should have been there in the first place..

Were they always going to release it? I think it might have something to do with the all the hate for L4D2, but only Valve could really say.
