Nintendojo: We Cheer 2 Hands-On

Contrary to what some other, can't-cut-it gaming review outlets may have complained about, Namco Bandai's original We Cheer didn't have much to improve upon. While THQ's rival title All Star Cheer Squad had a create your own routine mode, an awkwardly presented single player story and "authentic" cheerleading music and choreography, We Cheer's visual presentation and two-remote, nunchuk-free gameplay (once you bother to learn its quirks) was superior. With both titles getting sequels later this year, it definitely appears the cheer wars are heating up again, and Namco Bandai's bringing something it didn't have last year: male cheerleaders.

Game Revolution: We Cheer 2 Review

If you find yourself in need of a game for a preppy young lass, this could be a recipe for success. If you're a fan of rhythm games, there isn't anything here of substance, so any fun you have while waving to an imaginary virtual jailbait kid won't last too long.

GIN Review – We Cheer 2

GIN writes: "Our first experience with the original We Cheer didn't go that well. My daughter had done cheerleading for a few years, and I thought she'd enjoy it on the Wii. I think she played once and that was it. She said it was too hard. I hesitated a bit on getting We Cheer 2, but I finally decided to give it another try. I'm glad we did."
