Rare hopes Molyneux will make it famous

OXM UK reports that Rare is banking on Peter Molyneux to make the English development studio famous.

Rare's Steve McFarlane and Louise Ridgeway told OXM they're looking forward to Peter Molyneux raising the studio's profile in his new role as Creative Director of Microsoft Game Studios Europe, as currently "no-one knows who we are." (Industry, Xbox 360)

They don't need Molyneux for that. I'd have thought him getting involved means *more* hardcore games - it's not as if Lionhead have ever done anything else.

I agree with everything but the last bit... I don't like how Nintendo handled this generation so I'm very satisfied with them developing for Microsoft.

Rare is well known but their popularity has been put on the backburner this generation because they have yet to make a big enough splash to get their name out there again.
