Hospital Confirms Steve Jobs Received Liver Transplant

Split-screen: "A few months ago, Steve Jobs took a leave of absence from Apple. His ever-reducing weight was only one suspicion, until Jobs himself confirmed his leave to be on medical grounds. He initially revealed a hormone imbalance to be the culprit, with a difficulty in processing proteins. The Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute revealed today via press release, with the patient's permission, that Jobs received a liver transplant at the Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute in partnership with the University of Tennessee in Memphis."

"Jobs was 'the patient with the highest MELD score (Model for End-Stage Liver Disease) of his blood type and, therefore, the sickest patient on the waiting list at the time a donor organ became available”. I study medicine, and so far, I can tell you that's bull, my epidemiology studies say there are hundreds of individuals with higher MELD scores in this country in need of an hepatic transplant, just what a little $$$ can do now a days, always screwing the little guy in need of a second chance.
