UK: Buy LEGO Battles, get a ticket to LEGOLAND

"Attention UK readers, Warner Bros. is running an interesting promotion for its DS RTS title, LEGO Battles, which is set to release in the region next week. MCV reports that the game will include vouchers for free entry into LEGOLAND Windsor. Specifically, the vouchers allow a child to enter the park for every paying adult. In other words, full grown adults will still have to pay full admission regardless, but the kids can come along for free (so long as you bring enough adults along)."

Went to legoland in California. Sucked because all the rides were made for like 5 year-olds so I couldn't go on half of them.

The Most Wanted LEGO Games by Fans

Brandon Thompson writes: "With Traveller's Tales and Warner Bros locking down the rights to create Lego-based video games at least until 2016 and a stable of instant hits released and upcoming titles like Harry Potter on the way, we wanted to look at the licenses we'd most like to see teleported into the popular Lego Universe.

The series already has some great properties tapped like the Batman and Indiana Jones franchises among other big licenses, but we still couldn't help ourselves. Heck, maybe someone will take notice and the seed of an idea will get planted. A fanboy can dream right? So let's see what our top five most wanted Lego-based games are. Again, we don't number our top fives, as that's up to our readers to decide. These are simply our picks in no particular order."

I clicked without reading the title and thought the game was real. I would kill for a real Lego X-Men game.

What Would Kratos Do5110d ago

X-men and Star Trek would be great.
I'd like Stargate and Buffy too.

I think Buffy would be cool, but the Star Trek one has me excited. These are great ideas, but they just make me sad since it's all about 10% chance of EVER happening.

Nintendo Life: LEGO Battles Review

Nintendo Life writes: "Following the unquestionable success of the various Lego games of the past few years, Lego Battles is something of an oddity in the ever-growing stable of generally very good, solid adventure titles (and one rhythm game) from the Lego brand.

It's an odd title for a number of reasons, but the main oddity is that for a Lego game, Battles is remarkably 'non-Lego-y.'"

BeefJack: Lego Battles Review

BeefJack writes: "My life is falling to pieces, somebody put me back together. As we know, the LEGO brand has been used to good effect for nearly every major movie license there is, from Harry Potter to Batman. Now it is time to get back to the LEGO brand itself using their Space, Pirates, Castle, and Battle sets in video game form. It's a very basic Settlers or Civilization-esque Real Time Strategy style LEGO game, using all the different characters of the aforementioned genres including Pirates, Space Police, Kings, Wizards, and Aliens, who each have their own storyline and different missions. There are 90 different levels in total, fighting on land, sea, air, and space using around 30 different vehicles and 55 different characters."
