Dude for real. I hope there only listing the major songs, and not all of them b/c 500 for 3 songs is a joke.

Havince3670d ago

its looking like its 3 for 500

can anyone say RIP OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

speed3670d ago

if the songs are added to the bonus songs section in career mode or if they get dispursed to the 8 song sections and become part of what you will need to play in career mode to complete it.

I don't own a 360, so forgive my ignorance in the matter. How much is 500 points in cash?

Alymon3670d ago

$6.25 for 3 songs.

Or... $98 for all of the GH1 songs when they eventually release them as well.

F#ck Activision, Red Octane, and Microsoft all in one. There's no good explanation for these kinds of costs considering GH1 only costs $40 right now.

Because they're songs they've already made and have planned out the gameplay for, I can see that being high. But if it were new ones, I don't think $2 is too far over. I mean, $1 to $1.50 would of course be much nicer, but if it were new, you'd have to factor in the cost of actually getting the rights to use the song, paying whoever plays the cover of it, designing the performance of it, and making it playable on all the difficulty levels. I think all of that would be worth more than a dollar's worth of work.

But if you 360 owners hold out and make them lower the price, I certainly won't be complaining, as they'll hopefully be a comparable price on PS3 :). But Microsoft kind of enforces pricing to keep everything relative and similar, right? So is this comparable to what you'd get for other 500 point expenditures?
