...the almost inevitable Xbox 360 x PS3 F.E.A.R. screenshots comparisons will be the most heated thread of the next week.

After questioning the value of the purchasing the PS3's version of Splinter Cell, and considering F.E.A.R. as an alternative, some of you here were kind enough to compel me to reconsider. As a result, after some surfing around, Splinter Cell for PS3 is starting to look good again.

But I'm honestly still undecided and need some advice.

That said: For those who've played both, which game would you choose between Splinter Cell and F.E.A.R.?

Two different games buddy. If you like FPS with a decent story, I'd go with FEAR. If you've been a fan of the Splinter Cell series and something to hold you over till Metal Gear Solid 4 ... go for it.

For the record, I just got home...made a(n impulse) pitstop at EB Games and picked up up Splinter Cell after all. I've always been wanting to get into the Splinter Cell games, but haven't had enough PC horsepower as of late.

I've got Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror for my PSP, and I absolutely loved it. If Splinter Cell is anything like Syphon Filter, I'll definitely be happy.

Besides, I felt compelled to buy another game, since I'm already twelve hours into God of War 2, and should be upon completing it any time now. I've got plenty of fun pick-me-up games, but nothing with a rich storyline that I haven't already finished. Hopefully, this game will fill that gap.

Thanks again.

sajj316: I'll try to remember to give you some feedback on the game (but gotta get through the immaculate G0W2 first!). If you're interested in Syphon Filter, now's a good time, as you may have heard that the price recently dropped to $20 (saw it myself at EB's a steal, IMO). No, haven't DL any PSOne games...yet, but have messed around with some Remote Play features.

See you on PSN.

I have a 360 also so its good to have the choice of either version of Splinter Cell. Impluse buys are good ... do it all the time. Impulse buy of two HD TVs. Wife is loving me for that ....

Have you done any of the remote play stuff from PS3 -> PSP? Not bad, eh? I've actually downloaded Jet Moto onto my PSP (loved that game).

Syphon Filter PSP sounds like a good game. I loved the original on the PSOne.

PS Network name is sajj316. Drop me a note ...

ps3`s not worryied about clean ports of games that have been out for 2 and 1 year.
worry about the dev. of killzone, heavenly sword or the getaway.
don`t base a system off of ports.

Get on the ball will

On another note: I notice that guys left arm is a lil bigger than his right. On the 360 it's the same size. The 360 version is a lot better, don't you think?Ha

sajj3164267d ago

cause the dude's woman left him and he's been 'workin out' with his left arm :)

Honestly KewlKat, not something I will use to measure the two games :)

I'm waiting on Deepbrown with his PhotoShop Magic.
