If you love the film it's impossible not to like this game, despite its faults. That would be like hating a puppy just because it's got a wonky leg. This might not be the best videogame ever made but it's one of the better movie tie-ins out there, and it's the closest to being a Ghostbuster most will ever get.

WTMG's Todd Eggleston: "Ghostbusters The Video Game is nostalgia done right, and puts you right back in 1984. It isn’t a masterpiece of a game, and neither was the movie, but it reminds us again that it is ok for entertainment to just be entertaining. It is a game that deserves to be remastered and remembered. And 35 years later, it also serves to remind us that a remaster doesn’t always need to be Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott. Sometimes, Ray Parker Jr. is exactly who you need to call."

That magic 7 out of 10 again lol :)
Is there a demo for this coming out? I'd like to try it out. While I'm sure this will be fun (or at least nostalgic) for Ghostbusters fans (and who wasn't, to some degree, if you grew up in our generation) but i'm thinking this might just end up being put on my "pick it up way later when i don't have anything else to play at the moment and the game is like $15" list. That would at least let me save up that extra $60 for when I start getting bled dry beginning this fall.
a 7/10 mediocre rating is where i probably expected this to fall (hence landing on my "pick up later" list).
and before anybody flames me with "since when is 7 bad?", yes i realize 7/10 is technically good (and i'm not saying at all that a 7 here is bad--i've had 7/10 games that i had LOTS of fun with), but let's be honest, it truly is beginning to be the line for decent/mediocre game (once again, not that decent or mediocre is bad, especially if the idea of the game appeals to you). more a "get it later, if the idea of the game appeals to you, when it's dropped at least half in price" type game.
Wow, inFamous is great and it got a 7/10 from EG. Guess Ghostbusters is great too, looking forward to checking this game out.
10 times better if it had been written from the ground up as a playstation 3 exclusive, oh well.....
