Do any of you old-school Final Fantasy types remember the spell Break? It was supposed to inflict the status "Petrify" on your enemies, turning them to stone. But just like Blind, Confuse, Doom and Toad, it never seemed to work quite as well on opponents as it worked on your character. Bonaduce of <Swords for Hire> on Quel'dorei has discovered the root of the problem. It seems that status-effect-inducing spells tend to jump through space and time to land in other games entirely. This particular petrification spell is hitting a dwarf in an Ironforge basement here in 2009, but it was really cast at a Veil Dancer in Zozo back in 1995.
