Best. Cooperative. Games. EVER.

CivilizedGamers just recently dove into the Resident Evil 5 pool - a bit later than most, but better late than never, right?

They've been absolutely blown away with the sheer depth of the cooperative nature of the game - co-op isn't just tacked on as an extra, it's an essential part of the game.

The game style was refreshing and got them thinking about other excellent co-op games from their collective pasts.

Playing Virus in the Hanger four-player is the fondest memory I have of that game.co-ordinating everything perfectly just for things to go wrong and someone scream "SCREW YOU GUYS,I'M OFF" and just abandon everyone else at the worst possible moment was always hilarious.

hah same here! When I was younger I used to go round to my mates and we'd always do a four player on virus particularly hanger aswell. We'd go into the corners of the large open area of the hanger with some rocket launchers and miniguns/sub machine guns and make a last stand. Set some remote mines about the place aswell lol! The training ground and chasm were awesome levels for it aswell.

Exact same way we used to play Virus, Sniper matches were good as well.

20 lives four-player elimination.
Ice station level.
Only one person allowed in a building at a time.
No shooting up close or bots.
Last one standing wins.

Christ I really need to dig that game out sometime.
