TheJRE.com | Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny Hands On (E3 2009)

A 3D Samurai Shodown game? Anyone who remembers Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage will remember it was a departure from the traditional 2D fighting game formula and a most unwelcomed one at that.

This new Samurai Showdown includes 11 new fighters to join 13 of the originals from the games past. Most the big names you know are here so don't worry. Of course single player and online play will be in the final game as well as several additional modes such as practice mode and a survival mode that pits you against waves of opponents.

It's been a long time since we've seen a decent Samurai Shodown game in the US. Aside from the recent release of Samurai Shodown 2 for the XBOX Live arcade us western gamers have truly been deprived. (Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny, Xbox 360)
