BitMob: Project Natal: Hands/Feet/Arms/Legs/Torso/Heads-On Impressions

Dan Hsu writes:

"Project NatalXbox 360's Project Natal isn't even out yet, and it's already huge.

During E3 2009, journalists, developers, and even Hollywood celebrities got wind of the secret demonstrations Microsoft was giving to select individuals and were pulling every string they could find to get in. Even Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto went to the secret area of Microsoft's booth and got a private VIP demo.

Demian and I got to give Natal a go, and we came away extremely impressed...and neither of us are of the easily impressed variety." (Project Natal, Xbox 360)

Sorry, i've just watched the milo video, and i cannot believe how stupid people are that they would believe that is 100% real. I mean, that thing is supposed to be complete artificial intelligence. It responds to you like a real person would. Laughable. NASA hasn't developed anything on that level yet. No one has. And suddenly, microsoft slips out complete AI as a little side show to the rest of its game line up? It's obviously scripted, it's.......i mean, i've known 360 fans to be deluded but this is laughably stupid. I just can't believe people would think the interactions between that women and milo were all real time. Unbelievable. Well i look forward to seeing milo very soon, and doing everything the video showed and more, as well as the video showed. Because peter molynox said it was working today. Didn't you peter? Unreal how stupid some people are

Only a moron would think MSFT told people that milo was an artificial lifeform living in a box. Milo was a tech demo demonstrating Natal's capabilities when it comes to bringing life like characters and new revolutions in interactive intertainment. It was explained what Milo was doing was only possible because of the feature's in Natal, dude was speaking in a enthusiastic developer perspective language.

What Peter Molyster was really doing was speaking as a Sith Lord trying to confuse your mind into not trusting your own senses.

"See what happened there. She just made a connection with Milo." PM stated.

What really happened is she executed her lines perfectly like any actress for hire. And deep inside everyone watching felt it was fake, but then the Sith Lord came back on screen to confuse and comfort your mind into accepting what you was seeing as real.

And yes, they presented Milo as an advanced AI in a box, for your very own living room.
