I'll be buying this and Bloodlines day one. On PS3 and PSP Go! respectively.

I will be doing the same thing...

I think it's nice that the PS3 gets exclusive content but I wouldn't want to buy two whole games to get that content. It's an interesting idea for them and I'm curious if it will sell more bloodlines or not

Ghoul3117d ago

well they allready sold 2. 1 for me and 1 for whitefeather ^^

SuperM3117d ago

it will definately help them sell more PSP games. Im buying a PSP go when it launches and if AC bloodlines is any good i will definately get it aswell as the PS3 version of AC2. PSP/PS3 connectivity is a really smart thing. Developers want to give players incentive to buy the PSP game, and PS3 gets extra DLC without having to pay for it like Microsoft.

I really wish I was into handheld gaming more...I always hear how much better the DS is compared to the PSP when it comes to games and functionality but... after what I saw at E3 with the game announcements (Metal Gear Solid: Peace Keeper, Gran Turismo PSP, Assassin's Creed: Bloodline, Resident Evil PSP, obviously the exclusive support like Ratchet & Clank, Resistance: Retribution, maybe a new Syphon Filter, etc), in my opinion, the PSP will blow the DS out of the water.

I'm honestly thinking about getting one, and if I do get one (it wouldn't be the PSPGo.. I like physical media over digital), I'm definitely going to pick this and Bloodline up for the Sony consoles

ChampIDC3117d ago

Well, I agree with you in the case of hardcore gamers at least. Casuals are still going to love their DS. At least we're getting some nice service on the PSP, though. Can't wait to get mine next week.

To me it looks like PSP is being aimed at adults. It makes sense Nintendo just has a way with children.

I don't like that one console gets exclusive content, and the other doesn't. It doesn't effect me, as I have both systems, but for the ones who do not, this sucks!
I wish developers would keep the playing field even.

UltimateIdiot9113117d ago (Edited 3117d ago )

I see nothing with exclusive in this scenario. Why shouldn't developers take advantage of the PSP and PS3 connectivity?

Look at the idea of GT PSP and GT5 connecting and swapping cars. I like it. In fact, I hope there are more games with PSP and PS3 connectivity.
I hope Konami takes advantage of the PSP to PS3 with MGS.

FantasyStar3117d ago (Edited 3117d ago )

You're kidding right? Ubisoft is just taking advantage of the PS3 fanboys by tricking them to buy both games to get more dough. This is essentially the "wicked DLC", taken another form. There's nothing glorious here and it's sad that anyone would take this as a sign of good faith from Ubisoft.

Really now...They're just finding more ways of imprisoning you and tricking insecure PS3 fanboys into giving more money to one company. Insomniac did it with the R2 and R:R (Resistance:Retribution) and Ubisoft is just following que. Of course, unlike Insomniac, connecting the AssCreed PSP game to the PS3 Version isn't going to change the AssCreed PSP experience: the way Insomniac had your PSP "infected". At least that way, Insomniac can claim that having both versions changed how the game plays out. Ubisoft is just downright scamming the fanboys. And I pity anyone that falls for this ploy.

UltimateIdiot9113117d ago

Well, it's optional and not a game changing exclusive. I'm sure there are some out there who would have bought both version.

I'll probably get disagree for this but I know a lot of people with a hack PSP.

FantasyStar3117d ago (Edited 3117d ago )

Oh yeah, duh. I forgot about CFWs. I just hope people are buying the PSP version of AssCreed for the right reasons, and not for 6 new weapons.

SuperM3117d ago

If they buy AC bloodlines only for the 6 extra weapons then i can sort of agree with you. But i honestly think people are interested in the product aswell. If its good ill buy it. If not, ofcourse ill pass. But i think exclusive features like this definately gives added incentive. Basically if you support Ubisoft by buying both games you get extra content. I think thats a fair deal. Much more fair then gamer X gets additional content because he bought the game on platform A instead of platform B

FantasyStar3117d ago

Yup, gonna have to agree. Console exclusive content sucks. Although I say this despite owning both a PS3 and 360. But I can see the arguments of a "gimped" version, although I've been taught never to use the word "gimp". heh.

Day 1 - Release
Day 2 - All Reviews are out
Day 3 - Gamers post reviews that are not paid for.

Never buy Ubisoft game Day 1. Rainbow Six Vegas, the first AC, splinter cell double agent on PS3 (So bad, that they pulled it off the shelves and didn't release it back for 6 months)
