Kotaku has a chart that shows the first four months of hardware and software sales in the history of each console.
If this is anything to go by, it just shows that all consoles that has had high sales during the first four months has failed, where as sony is slow out the gate & just gains more &more momentum. Here hoping they continue their trend.
Also wish Capcom would make a next gen Megaman game.
Anyway Ps3 beat xbox 360 in first 4 months. Whoo hoo! NOT....
Seriously who could possibly care anymore other than people getting paid.
Cant wait for Ninja Gaiden. Late!
Sony never has good starts compared to their competitors, all the reason why early stats guarantees nothing in the long run
what does the pink bars on the back represent??? the second four months??
Kota WHAT ???? has what ? paid by who ? for the porpuse of ?
stupid gaming corruption.

Yeah people looking to buy a new car dont buy fords beacuase they are almost going bankrupt and its soon going to be bought by Sony to create Sony Motors Corp. S.M.P. WOW! doesnt that sound kool eh a Sony car i buy it for sure.
The cube beat 360.
The XBOX beat them all.
haha yeah, I noticed that too.. and wait, what happened to the xbox?
Anybody else has any dumb comments about numbers today?
"Wow!!! the N64 beat the hell out of the Xbox360"
On another Note I never thought Xbox did so well..

And with that said. I was surprised that the 360's numbers were so high considering the shortages due to the first and "ONLY" Worldwide launch. Even though MS spread itself thin doing so, they still managed to get impressive launch numbers a year Early on the competition. Interesting. But who cares? I'm excited about all the next gen content being released within this year.
Look at all those software dollars. M$ knows what they are doing on the software side........... most def not so sure on the hardware side.
So far the Xbox brand has not posted profits for MS. The original Xbox lost a few billion and unless something changed last quarter the entire 360 run has still been in the red. The first year to 2 of most consoles don't profit except for Nintendo who prices the system to make them money. Good for them but at the same time far weaker hardware.
these figures are nowhere near correct. point is that there is no way of really knowing. Sony is most likely highly exaggerating its european sales figures, we all saw the empty lines and then the next day there are BS articles about ps3 selling 600,000 consoles in a day or some crap. The stock holders must be posting these BS stories.
surplus stock, and it's beneficial so far. They've told us straight off the bat their shipment figures, while MS passes off shipment figures as sales figures (i.e. sold to retailers rather than customers). And Nintendo just gives us sales figures since they're happy like that.
You are so full of it. Prove one word you just typed. Humor us buddy. Its hilarious to see you continue with the same B.S. I can post 8 links that "clearly" state that MS has "SOLD" not "Shipped" 10.4 million consoles by the end of December 2006. Also, MS stated that they "Shipped" their 10 millionth console at the end of November 2006.
Ok, prove it, and i want clear evidence that it is "sold" and not "shipped"
MS does not know how many units it has sold. It only knows how many units it has shipped to retailers.
Only retailers can tell you how much they have sold.
VG doesn't even have them at 10 million sold yet.
The software sales for the PS3 are troubling.
