E3-2009: Sony's Tretton talks PSP Go, motion control

Tretton says Sony has a "formidable arsenal" of upcoming titles.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America president Jack Tretton wasn't happy about the internal snafu over the weekend that led to the leaking of video of the PlayStation Go, a new slimmed down version of the PSP.

But he's excited about what the new form factor and the digital download model for the platform. He said by eliminating the UMD disc slot and making the PSP Go a primarily digital download device, Sony can still go after its core audience while expanding to more casual game players.

"There will still be the traditional franchises like Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid, but with the PSP Go, we can talk about enabling smaller, less expensive gaming," Tretton said.

The story is too old to be commented.
